A pillow shaped like a small, soft suitcase? I guess. But I’d much rather have a suitcase shaped like a large, soft pillow. That way, even during takeoff/landing, I wouldn’t be required to stow it away in the overhead compartment

“No, flight attendant, this is NOT luggage, this is a PILLOW.”

and I could just sleep on it undisturbed…

please, don't buy me...

I cost $40!!! damn...

If you’re like me and split most of your “online time” between your smartphone, your computer’s chat client and your Facebook/LinkedIn page, Nimbuzz may be for you. It’ll make all those communications smoother.

My Facebok friends sometimes leave me wall messages that I take forever to respondto when I’m running between Paris and Vienna. Now they can call me or chat with me directly via a widget embedded on my Facebook profile page. The Nimbuzz widget detects presence and shows if I’m online. If I’m offline, Nimbuzz also includes a “Buzz” feature to alert me that people are trying to reach me. Read More »

One major concern before leaving on a business trip or for a “study” week-end, is to make sure that you took all you working material with you, which is not always a piece of cake. You might realize while reaching your final destination, that you actually forgot to upload to your laptop one of the kingpin document you needed to work out your presentation you’ll have to hand on Monday… and that’s too bad, because your office is closed and none too-bad4-bisof your workmate will pick-up their phone on the week-end , and that there’s absolutely no way for your wife/husband and kid at home to help you put a hand on this document; you visually know in which folder it is stored, but you really don’t know how to explain them how to get there…

if only you had LogMeIn and Dropbox installed on your home PC/Mac, this wouldn’t turn your trip or week-end into a nightmare! You could then unpack your laptop, connect to the Internet (by wifi or using your mobile phone equipped with JoikuSpot Lite) and go and get exactly what you’re looking for (while sipping your Latte). I’m sitting here in the airport lobby, awaiting for my bi-monthly flight which will take me to Vienna, and I just realized that there is approximately one electric plug per sqm here! Crazy when you know that one has to struggle hours in Vienna’s Intl Airport to find just one. Life’s so unfair when you’re running out of battery.

But Vienna has at least free wifi (4 free wifi access vs none in Paris)…We have the plugs, you got the wifi :P

Who has never looked with envy at those people surfing the web on their laptop, from the gate of an airport or while travelling on board of a train?

Who has never been discouraged to purchase a 30mns Internet credit for €15 from the only local provider available at an airport lounge or at a hotel?

As for my part, I’ve experienced both situations during one of the 140 Paris-Vienna flights I took for the past two years (17,5 tonnes of CO2 … I know… I’m so ashamed). But I’ve never been so desperate to subscribe to an additional mobile contract for 12 or 24 month and get one of those “cool” broadband Internet access USB dongles you connect to your PC or Mac and which puts the world at your finger tips while on the move…

cafe-moebel-viennaIf you’re planning to spend some days in Vienna and if you’re tired of reading your emails or working out your next powerpoint presentation from an impersonal hotel lobby, the cafe Moebel is just the perfect place for you: this cute little café is central, quiet, the food is good (they make a delicious café latte!), they have a free broadband Internet wifi access, waiters and waitress are nice and last but not least, its interior is 100% design! All the furniture, seats, tables, lamps, etc. come directly from the famous design shop Das Moebel located a few blocks from the café itself. The shop showcases design creations by WerK, franz maurer, moor&moor, moca, mm interier, ellips and more others!

So if you fall in love with anything here in particular, you can just satisfy your need for design and good taste a few hundred meters down the street…

Personally I could not afford one single piece of furniture which is displayed here in this living showroom; but I can at least spend the day sitting on one of those €800 seats and spoil this beautiful €1,500 table I’m working on…
